Bubinga Urn
This is easily the most important project I’ve ever undertaken. It’s an urn for a very close friend and mentor. When I thought about this project, I knew I wanted it to be both beautiful and strong, which led me to thinking of rosewood. And while not a true rosewood, bubinga shares many of their characteristics. Additionally, my friend was a life-long Phillies fan and his widow asked if I could find a way to incorporate that in some way. Given the emblematic Red of the Phillies, bubinga became the obvious choice to give him a safe, strong home that also showcased his love of the game. I am so deeply grateful and honored that his family trusted me with this project.
