End-Grain Cutting Board
This end-grain cutting board is made from Purpleheart, Walnut, Sapele, African Mahogany, and Maple. It is available exclusively at Idea Factory on Royal Street in the French Quarter of New Orleans.
This board is an end-grain design, which functionally means that the board will last longer, wear slower, and conceal knife marks by the self-healing properties of end-grain realignment. Finger grooves have been added to the underside of the board on all four sides (see final two photos) to make handling as easy as can be, and rubber, non-slip feet have also been applied (after these photos were taken) so that this board will never slide on you during use.
