Restored Edge-Grain Cutting Board

$0.00
sold out

This beautiful board belonged to my great grandmother and suffered a lot of use an abuse over its (presumably) 50+ year life. Having passed down to my mother, and with my being the resident family woodworker, I was asked to restore it. Originally crafted from edge-grain Maple, the body of the board help up incredibly well. The feet, however, were a very different story. Cracked and loosely holding on through rusting nails, they couldn’t be saved. Using a piece of maple that resembled the original wood as closely as I could, I turned this new set of feet in the profile of the original set.

It was an honor to bring this board back to life and keep it within my family. It shows that a quality cutting board truly will last for generations.
