This is the box you’ve been missing. Made from American Black Walnut, the grain of the wood wraps continuously around the box. The lid and base are made from a book-matched piece (ie mirror images) of curly maple, which lives up to its name. The maple splines reinforce the mitered corners for additional stability. The lid swings on solid brass hinges that will never lose their luster. Magnets hold the lid closed and provide protection against losing the box’s contents. The interior tray is made from a piece of curly maple that matches the lid and base. It fits so snuggly in the box that it’s virtually vacuum sealed within; even inverting the box won’t cause it to move. Underneath the tray is a 4-way divider, also made from curly maple that grabs the eye and holds your attention. This box is both understated and ostentatious, in all the right ways.
