End-Grain Ambrosia Maple Cutting Board

$200.00

This cutting board is absolutely stunning. There’s something special about taking a slice of a tree and turning it into something functional. This board in particular, coming from a Maple tree that was once home to ambrosia beetles. The beetles have a way of leaving behind these unbelievably gorgeous streaks of blues and greens that create mesmerizing patterns within the wood. Finding wood like this is very, very special. As with all end-grain cutting boards, this piece is self-healing and will be reticent to show knife and wear marks. And to top it all off, I shaped it to resemble a coffin, because the macabre feels very appropriate for my New Orleans home :)

Dimensions: 17-1/2” x 9-7/8” x 7/8”
